In addition to the Core Services, we also believe in offering the benefit of our expertise on other land related matters that are not covered in the specific topic areas elsewhere on the website.

In particularly, we also assist land owning clients on general estate management matters involving Grazing Licences, Farm Business Tenancies, Rent Reviews and other related matters.

Stephen Fawcett and Richard Wain are Registered Valuers under the RICS Valuer Scheme and can offer valuation advice.

Viability and Feasibility studies are undertaken at an early pre-planning stage to understand the opportunity for development or alternative land uses that may be being considered by land owning clients. It is often the detailed work that we undertake at this stage that then leads on to the more specific specialist areas that falls within the general planning and development advice.

Stephen Fawcett has also offered mineral advice given his British Coal background and continues to offer mineral advice to existing clients. We have also dealt with business relocations for clients who are moving premises, handling the disposal and termination issues, allowing the business to continue its operation without unnecessary interruption. We also review the market to identify the relocation opportunities best suited to the business and negotiate terms where required on behalf of our clients.

In terms of mineral and waste management, we provide advice to landowners and operators in negotiations for land and mineral rights for mineral extraction and waste management, using the knowledge and skills to ensure that a commercially viable solution is found.

We have extensive experience in dealing with situations where ownership of the surface is severed from ownership of the minerals and will advise on surface owners, mineral owners and developers in such circumstances. We have also experience of negotiating rights in land for wind farm schemes, which are encouraged through Government policy on renewable energy sources.
