Hawksmoor were instructed to identify competing development sites and to contribute in the selection of a strategic residential development site in the County town of Stafford.
Upon the completion of a potential site selection exercise and land owner approaches, land off Tixall Road, Stafford was identified as holding potential. Terms were successfully negotiated for the promotion of the landholding and following Hawksmoor’s client’s extensive planning representation and technical investigations, the property and the adjoining wider area was allocated for residential development in the Emerging Plan for Stafford Borough Council.
Following an outline planning application by Hawksmoor’s client, Commercial Estates Projects Limited, planning permission was successfully granted in 2013 for up to 260 dwellings.
